Stone Sculpture

"While creating a new piece that has a ‘basis in life’ image I follow the axiom for appreciating modern staging of classic works; the less you remember about the original story the easier it is to enjoy the show.
 In this case I visually started with the hair and a beak-like pen nib as I imagined a picture I remembered of Oscar Wilde staring off into space.  After I finished the piece I tried to find the photograph which, of course, never existed."
